January 20th - Free Day/Trip to local park

Luckily Derek slept in til 3 am with Jen and Regan sleeping til 5am.  Still struggling a bit with the time zone thing but it's improving.  Luckily Drew slept through the night and not waking til 7:30.

Breakfast continues to be an adventure.  We try so many foods to see what he'll eat.  He definitely knows what he wants.  He's very eager to eat, as he leans in for the food.  If you put something in he doesn't want, it comes back out very quickly.  Below (sideways, of course) is the first time the kids really played together.  Elise is helping him with the cups.

Drew is practicing his waving with Derek.

Not a fan of teeth brushing.  This, like many things, he'll get used to.  :)

We met Glen at 10 am to go to the local park.  Luckily it is very close and accessible via an elevated foot bridge above the road. Elise preferred to ride vs walk.

Entrance to park.  Very pretty gardens.

We walked a short way to a small playground.  Everyone got into the action eventually.
 Chillin' in the stroller

Even got a smile from the little one.

Here are a couple of shots taken on the elevated walkway on the way back.

Someone was starved for nuggets so we stopped into the local Burger King for our "nutritious" lunch.  I thought Drew would LOVE chicken nuggets.  Not so much.  He did take to the whopper so he had he own whopper jr. patty.  Meals are very difficult with the picky American child diet preferences and this little guy that we are trying to figure out.  Per the papers provided, he's supposed to LOVE chinese food but that's not our reality.

As we've done daily, we've enjoyed walking in the mall next door.  Shopped a little at the Walmart. Had dinner again in the Executive lounge because Drew LOVES their fried rice.  He again astounded us at dinner by his eating volume:  full bowl of fried rice, cup of yogurt, 2 slices of papaya, and 2 finger lunch meat sandwiches.  Not as much as the previous night but a very solid performance.  As we expected, he "out-ate" Elise.

We encouraged him to walk back to the room.  The recent update we received stated that he didn't walk so we are assuming he's a very recent walker.  Has very good balance.  Walks like a drunken sailor.
